The comments take this sarcastic masterpiece seriously - giving Texas Douches everywhere a new rallying work of prose they are too stupid to realize makes fun of everything they are about. My favorite comes from Longhorn Kristin -- hook 'em grammar!

All that being said, I'm counting down the seconds until an Aggie comes on here to complain about this blog entry. There, two, one...

unfortunately Im not entirely certain this is intended to be read as sarcasm. Having listened to Dick Justice on sports talk shows and occasionally read through the mindless drivel he offers the fair city of Houston every day, this actually wouldn't surprise me in the least if it were a real ode to Vince. Of all the people with a Voner, he sports his the proudest and most unabashedly.

I believe his daughter is going to Texas to swim.

Voner...that's rad.

You have to admit, though, it is nice that VY is a good role model, unlike a lot of the spoiled little s--ts that get their contract and think they are above things like education and the law. I read an article in ESPN or SI about him and "syrup sandwiches" and such. Good for him, getting out of a crappy start to life, getting a big break, and still staying grounded.

And Q-I totally understand. I've thrown up after waking up to many women, but couldn't decide if it was the woman or the binge drinking that did me in.

btw Tasty, who were you calling Voner? I'm so confuzzed...

Edit: Just figured out that you thought I was calling Quoner Voner, but in truth I was referring to eagle's comment about people having a "voner", i.e. a Vince boner. That's what I was saying was "rad" in my best Jason Bateman impression. But it's okay, Quoner is still rad too.

Well then I'd say ole Dickey-J has bigger problems if the majority of people that read that rag missed the sarcasm because "it seemed like something he'd write."

If it truly was satirical, he should be commended. But Im not yet conVINCEd. (See, I too could work at the Chronicle. )
