A friend asked what I thought of the committed players NT has obtained for womens BB. From what I had heard I was not too excited about a couple...they were all district and all area which is the same calibar that Slinker was signing. I took the time to do some google search to find out a little more and I am really impressed with 3 of these girls and what they have accomplished. I would believe our new coach thought highly of each of these players.

Pt. Guard: LaKevia Taylor, Hempstead was 2A all state to go with all district and all region, MVP District 26-2A averaged 17 pts and 6 assists last year as a Jr.

Forward Jasmine Godbolt, Garland All District, All Region II As Jr. averaged 10 pts and 8.6 rebounds.

Shooting guard Raquel Cuffie Patterson School Virginia....She was all tournament at two national tournaments her soph and Jr. years playing for a womans prep school. Great commit

Pt. Gd transfer Brittney Hudson from Rice out of a Houston HS...Her sr. year she was the leading scorer in the city of Houston. averaged 21 pts as a Jr. and 23 pts as a Sr., A McDonalds All American Nominee...Ranked by Texas Hoop as the 5 th best player in Texas her Sr. year.

Great Commit

Pw FW Nigky Huges, Waxachie HS, UT two years...was not impressed with her stats as Fr and Soph at UT, but was impressed with her earned credentials..MVP Class 4A State Tournament, 2006 Stsreet and Smith All American HM as Sr. WBC all American HM, TX hoops ranked her 4th best player in Texas her Sr. year, TX ASSoc of womens BB...4A player of the year, 1st team 4A all state, 2005 Adidos top 10 All American Camp all star

Great Commit

I realize the two transfers will have to sit out a year but they will arrive just in time to replace seniors at their positions.
