I think it's just a family fun night, not really a pep rally. But, this is marketing and if it brings in new fans and possible donors, it's all good.

If they really wanted to make a connection with families and young kids they should do this at the food court in StoneBriar Mall in Frisco (or StrollerBriar Mall as many refer to it). You've never seen so many kids age 3-18.

OK, but you do realize this is a Denny's event, not a UNT event, right?

The fact that Denny's sought us out to send Scrappy and the cheerleaders to provide some entertainment for the kids is a good thing.

Right. I'm just saying if you're going to send your cheerleaders and mascot 30 miles away in rush hour traffic on a Tuesday you want a good crowd to see them, right? Props to Dennys if they are paying the full tab to do this. I just don't know many (any) families in Plano that make Denny's their dining spot among 1000 other choices.

Denny's has a kids eat free night on Tuesdays. I had a g/f with two kids and Denny's was a semi-regular Tuesday night thing. Plus, the bounce house, and hopefully the giant UNT helmet, sitting in the parking lot will catch the eye of parents on the way home.

I hope they do bring the giant Helmet, that would attract much attention. This Denny's is at a good, visible location, right along Preston Road. Probably 1000 cars every 5 minutes pass by there at rush hour.

I applaud your willingness to date a broad with a pair of kiddos.

I disagree...I dated a lady with two adopted kids...ended up gertting married...having a third kiddo the usual way...and we have been married for now 30 years! Well, maybe you ARE RIGHT...I'll; never do it again BECAUSE I don't have too. Great lady and for those of you who know me, you know excatly waht I am talking about! How this "bride of mine" could have stayed around for 30+ years is beyond my scope of belief! I am a lucky fella....so, for those "single" folks out there, don't "back off" just because there is a kid or two in the mix when you start dating. Great things can happen.

But, don't go and tell my bride that I said nice things about her in public! I would not want to spoil my reputation.
