Nope. Being released is a requirement for her to be able to be on scholarship at another school, but has no bearing on when she can play.

2)Anyone notice this quote?

She mentions twice that it is a more positive environment. What was the issue at Texas?

Hughes apparently is a highly regarded player that got limited minutes at Texas. I wonder if she was upset about her diminished role, believing that she deserved more playing time. Whatever the reason, I am very glad she signed on with North Texas. Women's basketball is looking more and more interesting to me.

Nice, VERY nice. I, for one, sure like what I am seeing and hearing about our women's BB program uder its new leadership! Should be tons more fun this season to watch the ladies play. I sure hope the fan base improves!
