OK, kids...my computer geek skillz have fallen off almost completely over the last few years. It's sad, but I just haven't really kept up...so, here's my question. I believe the music player on the linked site below is flash based. Is there any way to extract the audio file from it? This song is one of my favorite of all time...and I want to add this particular version onto my iPod. I can't find the KCRW podcast anymore...otherwise I would just edit it off of there into a file with the single song. All in all, geeks...what is the verdict?

If it is in fact Flash-based, you may be able to use a Mozilla Firefox plugin to download it. There's two that I know of - one allows Flash based data from some major sites to be downloaded. The other one will do the same thing for ANYTHING Flash media related, but it only runs the data through RealPlayer (but I'm sure someone can find an audio data converter). The downside is that neither plugin is currently supported by Firefox3. Yet.

You can also just get an audio recording program on your computer, run the file and then have the recording program record it, then you can convert the data as you see fit.

Or you can just up and pirate the track if the band is well known enough.

I will have to hunt down that Firefox plugin.

I have the studio version of the track...but I like this version better. This is the only place I've found this particular version in semi-decent quality.
