I don't think a majority of people will even know what they are referring to with "June cometh."

Count me in that group that doesn't get it.

Don't get me wrong, I think June Junes is a great coach, and without question he will get SMU going, but, I just don't know how much he can do in his first season. I read somewhere, that SMU has 7 teams on the schedule that went to bowls last year, they may be lucky to win 3 this year.

Point 1 - I'm not too fond of the vintage look of SMU's boards

Point 2 - If you do the vintage look, why not include a pic of Kyle Rote. He's an SMU legend.

Point 3 - SMU is doing something to promote football with the billboards. Good job Ponies!

I think they will be better than most think. I wouldn't be shocked if they won 6 or 7 games.

Rice and Texas State. They'll start off 2-0 and declare that the glory days are back. Pony Soprano will call for Orsini to cancel the deal with UNT as they are clearly way beyond playing Sun Belt teams. Justin Willis Heisman threads on PonyFans.com will outnumber stadium threads on GMG.com.

June Jones then finishes the season with a 10 game losing streak.

As you zip down the street or expressway, the only thing you will notice is Pigskin and Pigs. The rest of it, including SMU Football is very hard to read while driving.

Am I the only one who thinks there are a lot of weird ways to take the wording of that billboard?

Either way, "Pony Up" is better than the recent UNT rebranding. "Behold the power of..." is a ripoff of Cheese, for crying out loud.

Next up, "North Texas: the other green meat."
