I thought this was already well known?
The timing of this is odd. I'm wondering if the statute of limitations just expired, preventing her from facing criminal charges for false report to a peace office (or whatever the NC equivalent is).
Sure I agree but you have to understand NIU's attendance issues over the years. They’ve been averaging about 9k at home for the past several years and even going back to 2016, their single game attendance highs are about 15k which would maybe be once in a season. To hit 18k twice in one season considering their past 8+ years of struggling attendance shows the value of that one win against a regional power.
In 2021, they finished 9-5 and were MAC champions. They averaged 9k at home that year with their home attendance high being 11,334 vs Wyoming which was the week after beating a bad GA Tech team on the road.
We've got opportunities coming up. Texas Tech in 2027, Baylor in 2028 and 2029, Missouri in 2030 and 2031. That's a stretch of OOCs against regionally relevant power programs. Maybe we'll finally take advantage.
