When I dialed the number in Mesquite, Nevada, his wife Shirley answered the phone. It took quite a few minuites for him to say, "Hello."

He was his great self, and in his Texas drawl, said "Rick, it's so good to here from you, ol buddy" He then said he's had a couple operations

and he asked his doctor, "How long do I have."

I am struck by his comments. He is such a great man, and a great coach. He loves North Texas!

Hold good thoughts for him, please. Say a prayer for Coach Fry!

Outcomes from prostate cancer are very optomistic with the medical intervention today. I wish the best of the best for Coach Fry. Prayers in the air.

From what I understand, this is not prostate cancer (which Coach Fry dealt with earlier in life). But, it is something very serious. Hopefully Coach Fry can conquer this dilemma, as well.
