O.K., just to let the MEAN GREEN NATION know, there is a newly arrived kicker in the wings for the Mean Green. Jason Ball and his wife Crystal just announced the birth of their son, Austin Ball this last Sunday. Most of you know tjhat Jason was the kicker for UNT and now kicks for the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League.

Anyway, got to see the young kicker on Monday and he's great! Crystal is doing great...and looking as great as ever...and Jason, well.....he's one proud papa!

Congratulations to Jason and Crystal and WELCOME AUSTIN TO THE MEAN GREEN NATION!!!!!

By the way, I'm getting Austin a soccer ball....for those of you who didn't know it, Jason was one heck of a soccer player from his younger years all the way through high school. He gave up the "beautiful game" for American football. Go figure! Ha!

WELCOME AUSTIN!

I just read about Johnny Quinn and now about Jason Ball. I remember going to Denton a number of times and Jason seemed to be always there, kicking time and time again. In his first year, Jason wasn't very good. He may have been great at soccer but he was pretty erratic with a football. But because of his dedication and hard work he just kept getting better and better. Hundreds, probably thousands of kicks later, Jason is able to make a living with his leg. It's the stuff success is made of.

Congratulations and best wishes to the Balls on their new arrival.
