I doubt it. Even if he thought we were worthy, I think he'd rather fly under the radar.

Just for fun. How accurate have past Sun Belt Pre-Season Coaching Polls been? Have the coaches even predicted the correct Sun Belt Champs since 2001?

FAU has 18 retruning starters from their 2007 SBC championship team and New

Orleans Bowl win, so FAU is a no brainer for the favorite for the 2008 season.

Troy, has almost the same number of returning starters, but must replace their

key skilled position players at QB and RB. Troy has quality and talented players

available at QB/RB so their 2 a days will answer these position questions.

Regarding North Texas, I feel ranking NT at 7th place is too low. This ranking

may give the other SBC teams a false sense of security about the 2008 North

Texas team. Maybe this false sense of security by the other SBC teams will

be our advantage this season. I do believe the 2008 version of Dodge Ball

will be the suprise team of the SBC, and even be right in the middle of the

champioship run later into the season.

  Again, the high school teams select the site. SFA didn't start the conversation, except to perhaps tell the UIL their stadium would be available for HS Playoffs. When I was young, most of the HS playoff games I followed my school were held in college or pro stadiums around Texas. I went to games in Lubbock, Waco, Austin, College Station, the Cotton Bowl, Texas Stadium, etc.

  Lol. Seasons: 60 (1953 to 2024) What that says is we won more in small college football conferences from 1913-1952. Since moving up to major school football conferences from 1953-2024 (except for the demotion to 1-AA 1983-1995) as we moved up in Conference power, it has become more difficult to sustain winning. That is to be expected if you don't have the resources, donors, and support other major programs have. Also, of course, coaching and recruiting has been unstable. But still we have come a long way...into one of the Top 5 football conferences in the country!
