The family and I got to attend a field trip with the kiddo's music school today to go see and visit with Dr. Lenora McCroskey at the College of Music at North Texas. Dr. McCroskey teaches Organ and Harpsichord at NT. She was very nice to all of us. A great represenative of our school as she was very patient with the kids and took her time with all of them answering the hundreds of questions and letting them play the instruments. All of them got to play a harpsichord and a Forte Piano. And then we all went over to the Dillo Dome and got the grand tour(again for us of course) of the new Pipe Organ. And then we got to sit down and play it. Very cool. The official dedication of the new organ is coming up this October and there will be three performances if you get a chance to go hear it. After our tour we all met up at Beth Maries' Ice Cream parlor on the square. Overall a great day as I couldn't have been more proud of our university as we toured the facilities.

Below is a group photo of the kids and Dr. McCroskey in front of the new Organ.

By the way, not sure what was going on, but there had to be a couple of thousand high school age kids at some camp at the College of Music building today. It's pretty amazing how busy our campus stay's during the summer.
