If he'd been able to control his spendthift wife, he would not be broke. I read where she was spending nearly $100,000 a week on jewelry, shoes and cloths. Stuff she could have done without.

At some point in life one must take responsibility for the decisions they have made. Ed, time to realize the decisions you made on what to do with all the money you have made are YOUR DECISIONS...good or bad. It may just be "responsibility time" for Ed!

Gee, if every 85 year old who falls down has a lawsuit case....

I used to like Ed.....until I read this crap:

What a shame. Ed was such a TV icon in his own right. For this to happen to him(financial problems) late in life is tragic. But, as you said, it's his own fault. Now he wants the trial lawyers to bail him out. He should have the case moved to the friendly confines of the SE Texas, lawsuit friendly court system where sueing is a way of life. <_<

of course its not his fault, its societies fault, his parents fault, the fault of the kid that kicked his ass in the 3rd grade, his teachers fault, and last but not least, its GWB's fault. Why on earth would you expect someone to be responsible for their own actions?

All said in fun and certainly not aimed at you KRAM1!
