Great West Conference

Several teams added yesterday. Houston Baptist, Texas-Pan American, New Jersey Institute of Technology, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah Valley, Cal Poly, UC Davis and Southern Utah. The last three are football only.

Think we could add Denver in with this group?

Looks like a smart decision.

NJIT is closer to South Dakota, North Dakota, and Houston Baptist, than La.Tech is to any WAC school other than NMSU.

The best thing about the Belt is our heated soccer rivalry w/ the Pioneers.

Denver's soccer team could stay in the Belt as an associate member if we needed them, or them us. Most don't realize Missouri State and I believe Southern Illinois are SBC associate members for I think swimming and men's soccer.

It is true for men's swimming/diving and you can throw the Evansville Aces into that group as well. It's the way ULM got their foot in our door (as an associate) before they became a full member. Several of our members are associates in other conferences.

I still get the feeling that Denver winds up in the Big Sky.
