The bookstore alone could probably sell that many during freshman orientation.

They know who the rep is. Maybe putting that bug in their ear will encourage them to drop 10 grand on UA Jerseys. Also remember the athletic department controls what number is used.

Are you telling me that a D-1 program can't sell 300 brand new Under Armour jerseys? Hell, the fans will buy Riley's #11 by the hundreds by itself.

Fitz's jersey would be the hot seller and then probably Dodge (if he starts).

If they only brought 300 to the first game there would be a lot of disappointed people who didn't get them.

I understand what you are saying - is there not a way that the offcials at UNT could say to UA give us 3 months to sell these things, or something like that? I don't know, but if I am UA and no one is buying the first 300 but UNT offcials, seems like to me they might be willing to work with us. I could be wrong though, but I am betting the Bookstore or the University could sell 300 of these if the President put it on her email, the web page had them, and the bookstore had them without batting an eye. When I found that UA shirt at Hibit Sports, I bought it - I didn't go look for it somewhere else. If we can't sell 300 shirts, we have no business building a new stadium.

I am as frustrated as you are. I wish I had a more permanent setup to offer merchandise for sale. I am disappointed that it has taken me this long. But I promise that the jerseys and a lot of other great merchandise will be available shortly. You will be able to buy an UA jersey before the 2009-2010 season. In the mean time there is a good selection of true Mean Green merchandise at www.shopmeangreen.com (Harry you can send me an adv bill) I wish I could make the same promise on the stadium.

All of the UA apparel goes through Gear For Sports who adds the logo, numers etc. The sales rep for TX told me (as I remember during my shock) they would have to sell about 300 jerseys. I was told that he had several inquires but no one thought they could sell more than a couple dozen. I asked if I bought the 300 would he give me an exclusive so I could sell them to other retailers. I was told no and that if I bought 300 then he would be free to sell to other retailers by the dozen. I will try to coordinate with other retailers ( hopefully I will have several that buy from me by then) to generate enough orders for GFS to produce the jerseys for next year. All jerseys have to be puchased before March 1. (1 order, 1 time, period)

Beyond rediculous. Shouldn't our AD dept be able to obtain an exclusive like they did with the bobble head and "Booger Towel"? Evidently not since the promised game jersey's from last year never materialized.

I tell you, if having the "UA" logo on our football uni's is going to continue to be this difficult, and actually cost our program opportunities to make money, then I can certainly think of an alternative.

It is rather strange that we just can't seem to get things done....and I completely agree with you - if it is this difficult to get stuff out of UA, drop them and MOVE ON.
