To be honest what does it matter. I would want to play La-tech that way when ULM we have more celebrating rights. UNT and ASU get trashed by Texas and others all the time you dont see us crying and jumping ship saying lets not play them. But because they schools are of equal caliber it is ok to bring in the AD's and work out the differences.

To be honest what does it matter.

It doesn't matter at all. Dooley made comments to a group of Tech supporters and a NewsStar "blogger" put a few, relatively out of context quotes out there. It's really as simple as that. These types of things are said at fund-raisers at nearly every school every off-season and it's usually not news. The NewsStar has taken up ULMs cause for whatever reason and every time Dooley farts without saying excuse me, it makes the paper. The ULMers getting up in arms is a joke.

What gets said by us unwashed masses insulting other schools isn't a big deal.

The Dooley case was different because it was an athletic director.

In this particular case this athletic director gets a six figure salary and answers to the college president who answers to the University of Louisiana System president and board. The University of Louisiana System president and board also govern ULM. Even if the schools were in different systems this fiasco is a breach of etiquette in academics, but this is like UT-San Antonio publicly trashing UT-Arlington.
