The excitement those games created shows why renewing the rivalry makes sense for both teams, SMU athletic director Steve Orsini said.

"At SMU our scheduling philosophy includes playing regional rivals, and North Texas fits that bill," Orsini said. "We feel it's a series that's good for both programs."

This has nothing to do with football but it does have to do with SMU...and it's funny as hell.

Just last night an SMU student called police because he was the victim of a home invasion robbery.

The funny thing about said "home invasion" is that his story was that he walked out to his parking lot and met two attractive women. One of them introduced herself as "skittles" and the other as "leryx" (nope, not making this stuff up). He claims that he asked them if they wanted to hang out with him and "have a good time" and that within 15 minutes of meeting them he was on the verge of having sex with one of them while the other watched. To his surprise, gee who woulda thunk it, the "non-participating" female opened his front door and let in two masked men with shotguns.

I like the teams being put on the schedule. We don't need two bodybag games a year if we can get SMU, Tulsa, the services academies, etc. to come to Fouts.

If fairness, I'm willing to bet a few NT guys would invite home attractive and will women who's background might not be known to them!
