Exxon-Mobil. They are the only ones with deep enough pockets to cover the continually rising stadium costs. Let's see...originally the cost was $45M; last year it rose to $65M and probably is somewhere between $85 and $100 million now if I'm to believe some of the posts.

They just saved $4.5B on the original ruling on the oil spill so they should be in a better mood (the first award was totally ridiculous). In fact, we'll allow them to underwrite the "New Southwest" conference much as Humble did the old Southwest Conference (it might help us to be a part of it).

Besides, the government is getting a large portion of their profits anyway. It's highly likely that the new national government will tax them even more. I'd rather see us get some of it than Congress get it all.

I'll even buy Exxon exclusively (and maybe a few thousand of my friends) if they'd assume some major costs or naming rights.

southwest airlines stadium? we can build it for peanuts.

I like the slogan, but the name just seems directionally dysfunctional; Southwest Airlines Stadium, home of the North Texas Mean Green?

Would we all have to line up at the gate in the order that our tickets were issued?
