I've never supported the idea of shutting it down, but this kind of action is something that might finally start proving to me that we've only been dragging a dead horse around for the past 20 years with no chance of recovery.
I agree. Travis Hunter is a special athlete, but is he one of the top WR’s or CB’s in college football? That’s an honest question because I haven’t seen him play much at all. I feel like he’s maybe a very good CB and an above average WR, but not one of the best in the country at either…that a good assessment?
That's why as much as I hate NIL, I hate TP even more. The powerless NCAA had already started letting the big schools skirt the rules by letting certain players get waivers, etc. Once the portal opened, it got worse.
There's a simple concept that's been destroyed in all of this: commitment, something that's supposed to be a part of obtaining a college degree.
And it's not fully on the players. The schools are equally to blame. Once they were no longer forced to maintain a 4 year commitment to someone that was supposed to be recruited to become a student at the UNIVERSITY, not just a player on the football team, they became part of the problem.
good, some students getting smart that they do not need a College Degree to succeed, find a passion and work hard and a blue collar job will make way more than some white collar degree and $200k in debt
Yes he did.
We also approached Jimbo Fisher and interviewed Jay Norvell and Tyrone Nix. Harbaugh also was interviewed by Tulane and Stanford.
Does anyone know if we chose Dodge over Harbaugh or if it didn't reach that stage (such as if Harbaugh wanted more money or was just doing the interview to sweeten the offer somewhere else)?
