I don't think that this will be a trap game. Troy always has a tough defense and they may very well hold their own against possibly the best team in the country. I'm afraid that they won't be able to generate enough offense to really give Ohio State much cause for alarm. The loss of Haugabook and return man McKelvin seems too much for me to think that Troy has a real chance, even if they catch them napping.

Did anyone click on the comment link RE Joe Greene being the face of North Texas... Here is what was posted by MeanGreen 2K4:

Granted, Mean Joe Green gave North Texas its new nickname within the last few years.... but fans of North Texas know that the TRUE face of the UNT program is "Four Conference Championships in a row, and a 25-game conference winning streak."

This is why we're still the only Sun Belt team that the average college football fan can name. Take THAT, Schnellenberger.

Sure would be nice if our own people knew that Joe Greene did not father the Mean Green name!!

Actually, I've recieved a couple of interesting articles from 1967(the actual newspaper clips) by none other than Randy Galloway and Bob Kiser that may clear up this myth. I plan on scanning, typing and posting here to show everyone that your absolutely correct GB1. It refers to the previous 1965 "LEAN GREEN" defense and how it was now(in 1967) the new and improved "MEAN GREEN DEFENSE" that was coined by Sidney Sue Graham, wife of our SID at the time. Taking over for a retiring Odus Mitchell, Rod Rust had 7 regular defensive players to build around for the upcoming '67 season. It then mentions the most heralded player for that defense that '67 year was Junior Joe Greene, a 6-4, 280lb All American candidate. It never calls him "Mean" Joe Greene in the article. Not once. Nor does the other newspaper clip that covered the MVC Championship game over Tulsa later that same year refer to Joe Greene as "Mean" Joe Greene. What gets me the most is that our university continues to let the outside world repeat this untrue fact. I am also searching for a supposed Pittsburgh Newspaper article that first referred to Joe as "Mean" Joe Greene after he was drafted by the steelers.
