Well that's all the ammunition NT needs to keep our administration from moving forward with our new stadium construction. For the rest of my life I will be forced to watch NT football games in that dump we call Fouts Field. <_< On the other hand, with the exception of my MGC donations, I won't be making any 5-6 digit pledges to build a new stadium.

I think WKU's problem is that they didn't act quickly on buying the materials. I met an engineer from Jerry-World the other day and he told me that they have been keeping the project close to budget simply because they purchased ALL of the building materials up-front in 2006-early 2007. Apparently, the raw material costs have gone up so much, that the new stadium would be nearly 3 times the current cost if they were buying the materials today.

Interesting . . .

Kentucky's brightest are actually right on in this statement. What is sad is that they are a Div 2 school and are from Kentucky.....

Well add them to the list of other UNKNOWN SBC schools that are ahead of us in planning and completing their future stadium. Other schools likely to follow: Texas St., UTSA, and Lamar....

I am fairly certain with all of the incredible amount of planning by the folks over in the AD offices, that they did the same thing with the materials for our new stadium.

Yeah, I was in Bowling Green last year and saw the construction of the south side in progress. It may not be saying much, but the north side of the stadium was already MUCH more impressive than either side of Fouts. I wasn't very impressed with the overall appearance of the school at all though. I didn't see any very large or architectually inpressive buildings, and it is kind of spread out all over the place. Amazing how we seem to just sit here and spin our stadium wheels, while much schools with much less football history gain traction.

I would like to point out that if you really feel you have something to add to this, be it quick or nit wit, please remember this is another stadium thread.

Do you think because this is WKU that this is going down a road we haven't paved, or you have an original thought?

Think about that before you bump this baby up to the top again.
