I know... NOTHING to do with UNT... but very, very shocking. Probably the last fair journalist on the Sunday morning talk shows.

Oh man, he had just come from his son's graduation...

(CNN) -- Tim Russert, who became one of America's leading political journalists as the host of NBC's "Meet the Press," died Friday, according to the network. He was 58.

The network said Russert suffered a heart attack while at work and could not be revived. He had just returned from a family vacation in Italy to celebrate the graduation of his son, Luke, from Boston College.

Here is the video of a teary-eyed Tom Brokaw announcing the news:

Too Bad for sure, was a good and fair journalist for the most part. We lack so many good journalists these days...he will be missed.

I don't watch Meet the Press every week, but I've been a viewer off an on for I'd guess 15 years. I loved his personal touches on air. I loved his shout outs to sports teams and his family. Loved his chalk board. Loved the twinkle in his eye when he was amused with something.

RIP big guy.

Very Shocking News, I saw that at around 6p.m. today and was shocked.

Great guy, huge loss for NBC

Most of all huge loss for his father and son and wife and his siblings...

To see Andrea Mitchell, Keith Olbermann, Tom Brokaw, Chris Matthews in tears says alot....
