Tic Price Gone

UNT head men's basketball coach Johnny Jones confirmed Wednesday what has been rumored for the last few days -- assistant coach Tic Price is headed to Lamar.

Price spent just one year on the Mean Green's staff, but Jones said his longtime friend made an impact during his time with the team, both in recruiting and in helping guide UNT to the second of consecutive 20-win seasons.

Wouldn't former UNT star Ronnie Morgan make an outstanding assistant coach?

It would enable North Texas to bring home one of our premeir players that had helped lead North Texas to the NCAA tourney.

Wouldn't his two sons Ronnie Jr and Bobo would be able to attend the university for free?

I am pulling for Kenneth Mangrum.

He is a former UNT player with a Masters degree, head coaching experience in high school, grad assistant experience at UNT, and one year's experience as assistant coach at D-2 Angelo State.

Red would be a great addition to the staff...and I think he's ready for a 3rd assistant role here after the grooming he's gotten from JJ and Coach Rike.

Plus...I'd probably still throw my money behind him in a team slam dunk contest.

I believe that to be a college assistant coach a college degree is required. I don't think that RoMo has a degree. He left NT after his junior season to play professionally in Israel. Not sure how long he played in Israel.
