I am an old school geek as well. First started getting on the 'Net around 1986. Before Al Gore invented it.

I do remember using out 1200 baud modem to log on to BBS sites as a kid... before the advent of AOL. May not be that old school, but it's quite amazing how far we've come since then in such a relatively short amount of time.

I had a BITNET email address. Bitnet died when TCP/IP became popular. :unsure:

My mind has never been as blown as when I discovered my very first search engine. It ran Archie so that I could search MULTIPLE FTP SITES AT ONCE!
