We didn't have a GREAT day today, but we did qualify the Finals in four events for tommorrow(plus the 4x400 relay and Stanfield in the Triple Jump). Alot of our athletes posted quality marks, but just not enough for the level of competition today. I watched off and on on Nebraska's website(they carried it live all day long) when I knew we probably were about to have one of our kids compete. So if you're free tommorrow try and tune in. It'd be great to send someone to Nationals for the 3rd year in a row(or is the streak longer?).

Congratulations to Ciara Smith - who is going to NATIONALS in the 400M. :D

We had some other great performances that weren't quite good enough to make Nationals. The women's 4x400 relay set a new school record by 2 seconds and were fractions of a second away from going to the NCAA's. The men set a season best time in their 4x400.

Also kudos should goto Alysha Adams who finished 7th in the 100M hurdles this afternoon. Making the finals today was a great feat for the freshman.

All in all we had like 23 kids make the Regional Field which is a great number for us. Hopefully we can send even more next year - and maybe get more representation at Nationals as well. :)

That's good news. It's been nice to see the continued progress of our T&F program. Being in Texas, I think it is essential to have a quality T&F program with all the surrounding talent (I feel th same about baseball, but that's another discussion).
