WR #87 - 91 overall, 93 speed

CB #22 - 83 overall, 92 speed

QB #15 - 83 overall, 72 speed

TE #92 - 81 overall, 70 speed (really??? is that supposed to be Draylen Ross from two years ago?)

CB #31 - 80 overall, 89 speed

RT #60 - 80 overall, 94 strength

DT #65 - 79 overall, 87 strength

These are the top rated North Texas players based on EA Sports NCAA Football 09 video game. I have to wonder if they seriously think we still use a tight end...

Casey Fitzgerald is the highest rated player out of all the sun belt teams, I wonder what they have Riley Dodge's rating at?

Also... keep in mind that EA has said they are scaling back the ratings this year. Only really special players will be receiving ratings in the 90s, and a 99 overall rated player will be absolutely dominating at his position. Used to be, a top tier team might have as many as 5 or 6 99 ovr players. This year, if you have one, they are a truly transcendant player, able to take over whole games by himself. To have a player in the 90s in fantastic, and assuredly deserved for Casey.

The speed rating makes me think that Dodge is number 5.

I take this as final and definitive proof that Daniel Meager is better than Riley Dodge.

Case closed.

I'm out of my element here but this thing seems a little hokey. As pointed out, #92 is Draylon Ross, who hasn't played tight end for a year (we, of course, don't use one; if we did it'd be Victor Gill). The have Nurudeen rated the fifth best player, ahead of the corner that received the Defensive Back of the Year in 2007, Antoine Bush. The last # 60 that was a scholarship athlete was Jeremy Brown (two or three years ago). Walkon Daniel Calderon currently has #60. Finally, they have Adryan Adams (#22) as our second best athlete and he's yet to play a down for North Texas. I hope the other data isn't as poor.
