Umm, the fact that the student is Muslim caused him, because of his Muslim beliefs, to threaten the dog thus causing the student teacher that requires the dog for assistance to forgoe the remaider of his student teaching responsibilites. I would say his being a Muslim and the beliefs he has been taught are the cause of this issue and article.

Really, then how did the other muslim somali kids get along with him? Maybe they need to go back to the madrasah?

Or maybe the kid is a jerk and needs to be discipline, regardless of his religion?

It's because of the tolerance of Christians...that we've allowed others to come to this country and practice freely their religions. Try being a Christian in Saudi Arabia. Or Iran.
Anyway but there's no sense in trying to reason with someone who's been brainwashed by the LIBERAL public school system.

I have never denied that in many instances the Islamic society has its issues...hell all of our societies has its issues...some more than others but they are all there. I just want to point out that whatever you see on TV do not believe that its an indication of the whole country, religion, or all the people. Majority of that stuff thats pointed out too is a small small minority or sect and that is what the news decides to put on TV. Have you ever been too or know about Dubai? Turkey? Those places and many many places in "Muslim" dominated countries but there is plenty of tolerance and very little to no issues there on stuff like this.

Also as a society, yes I agree that the Muslim society has not evolved to the west as we have all hoped but I believe that it is getting better slowly but surely. I figure things come in cycles and what was happening in the Crusades is happening now but in a different time and sense and the its just that the Muslims are on the other side today than they were in the Crusades.

WND has a conservative bias. Just like CNN, ABC, CBS, NPR, MSNBC, NBC, The LA Times, Time, Newsweek, The New York Times all have a liberal bias.

If you read some of the articles I've linked, you see that WND doesnt have a conservative basis. They want people who break the religious tenets of the bible to be killed. They are fruitcakes.

At least us conservatives admit we're conservative. We're not afraid of the label, like you libs who want to now be called Progressives.

Ok so lets look at all the jails in America and see the percentage of blacks in comparison to other races and lets just say that its all the blacks that make this country dangerpis and do all the crime. Lets all say the african american society are all thugs, criminals, druggies, whackos etc. Or hell lets condemn Catholocism because we all know they love molesting 13 year old boys right? Your point doesnt make sense and you can condemn them about a lot of type of people.

No...they have a much longer history of it...around 1300 years now. And if you want to be more modern...how about making an entire Muslim nation disappear? The root cause of nearly all of Middle Eastern turmoil was the abortion of a job the West did in creating Israel and its 60 years of blind support and arms backing of Israel...despite the fact the attrocities committed by the Mossad and the israeli Defense Force are on par with any P.L.O. or "terrorist" action.

1) Have you ever even read a history book? Christian's have killed millions in the name of religion. So have muslims, so have hindus, so have pretty much every one else. Irish Catholics and Irish Protestants are to this day killing each other and bombing each because of their religions, which both happen to be christian.

2) The vast majority of muslims are not terrorists and don't approve of terrorist acts. Yes, some due, but some christians want all gays to be put to death, all interracial couple to be put to death, all non whites forced to move from the US or suffer death... that doesn't mean ALL CHRISTIANS want that.

Do you even know there are hundreds of sects in Islam, just like there are in Christianity? Have you heard of Sufi's, the Druze, or Salafism.

Some sects of Islam or violent, some sects of Christianity or also. CBl brought up the movie Jesus Camp, have you seen it:

The most practical post in this entire argument...it reasons and looks at both sides of the argument...makes concession on either side and preaches that both education and tolerance would be the greatest weapons in this "War"

Well, geez, let's just dig up 1500 years of religious murder. I don't care what happened 1000 years ago, I'm talking about now. And right now, the Muslim Middle East is stuck in the 12th century when it comes to religious tolerance. And I do not condemn all of Islam for the practice of the violent few, but I am concerned about the growing aggressiveness of Muslim groups in Europe and America who demand that we change our societies to cater to their unique beliefs.

The West has been complicit with the rise of radicalized Islam for about 90 years, basically going all the way back to the time of T.E. Lawrence. Great Britain carving Arabia and installing tribal leaders as Kings of these new states, instead of trying to foster democracy right after WWI was really the genesis of ALL these issues...even more so than the creation of Israel.

There are different sects all over the place and it just so happens that the radicals F it up for other Muslims. Also just as a side note that whatever radicals say that the Quran says this and says that...THAT IS ALL COMPLETELY FALSE. The Quran does not say any of that stuff and really the basis of Islam is equality and intellect. And another side note, Muslims do believe in Jesus and Moses and they are mentioned in the Quran. They are known as Prophet Issa and Prophet Moosa. So Islam has no hate whatsoever on any other religion or people nor does it state any garbage like that.

The fact that these rare and few "radicals" who encourage and fund terrorism are in charge of nations (Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, the PLO, and formerly Afghanistan and Iraq) is what makes modern Islam far more dangerous to our country than the whacko Christians you claim are just as bad.

Christians are killing each other in Ireland RIGHT NOW. Christians are fighting and killing muslims in places like Lebanon RIGHT NOW. There are religious wars between Christians, Muslims and Animist Traditions all over Africa, RIGHT NOW.

Bad people will use God as a reason to kill someone else, period. It doesn't matter the name they call God is Jehovah, Allah, Haile Selassie, Bhagavan, Siddhartha Gautama or Rashdak, the giant sea turtle that carries the world on its shoulders.

Also, if you will read a history book, you will see that every single new wave of immigrants that came to America has a) caused unrest because they like their traditions better than the established ones 2) been called the end of American Society by xenophobes and c) been Americanized and ready to call the next wave of immigrants the end of American Society in turn.

Doesn't matter if that group was the Germans, Irish, Italians, Vietnamese, Mexicans, etc.
