We host'em this weekend. I think we have a decent shot at taking the women's crown. We're very strong at quite a few events. Our Men's team will probably finish in the upper echelon, but I don't think we are deep enough in enough events to win the title.

Hopefully we'll have a good showing. If some of yall in the area are free I'm sure the squad would love some support. T&F is an underrated spectator sport. Alot of fun to watch in person.

Women finished 2nd and Men finished 4th. The girls left some points on the table with inexplicable performances from acouple of our best athletes, or we might've been close to WKU(even though we were in 2nd, the Hilltoppers were comfortably ahead).

Guys had some great efforts, and we were only 1.5 points out of 3rd.

Even better note...we have alot of athletes who have posted regional marks this season, so we'll see if any can advance to Nationals.

Anyone know what is up with Brandi Stanfield? She triple jumped over 44 feet her freshman year and hasn't been close in the last two years. Her best this year is just over 41' in the triple jump and she didn't medal in the Belt meet in either the TJ or LJ. Is it injury problems? Also what happened to Patrick Strong who led NT's cross country team this year but as far as I can tell did not compete in track.

Track is a strange sport at the college level with little emphasis on anything but individual performances, but it seems that it is a sport that NT should dominate in the Belt. I am sure ship limits are a major considerations, but there are a lot of events that NT does not even participate in or at a very marginal level. I do applaud NT in having multiple entries in the heptathlon and decathlon, two events that they have largely ignored in the past few years.

We really need a stronger presence in long distance events. The fact that we have no one competitive in the 5K or 10K absolutely kills us.

Stanfield had an okay season, but she really no showed today. Very sad....I was counting on her points.
