Commercial Appeal sez Tulsa will be #1 in CUSA

Post Spring rankings

http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2008/...pring-rankings/

If there is any school we've played often the last 50 or so years that has UNT's number it would (IMHO) be the Tulsa U Golden Hurricane program and this seems to have begun as far back as both our school's days as conference-mates of the old Missouri Valley Conference. I have often wondered in past decades if we could even beat Tulsa U in a game of Tiddly Winks. (In fact, can one even buy such a game we used to call Tiddly Winks)?:)

And this year will be no different, as they have an offense that will be even harder to stop this year with a year under Mahlzan's offense. This should be a fun game to watch with a lot of points scored.

This "juggeraut" beat SMU by 6...and put up a total of 29 on them.

By no means am I saying I take them lightly, but also by no means am I saying they can't be beaten. Especially when their bread and butter seems to be "pass the ball all over the place and hope your defense makes stops." Sound familiar?

Not to mention that we owe Tulsa one from that embarrassment at home a couple of years ago. It's the home opener. I expect us to come out ready to win that game.

one of my tennis buddies's wife is a music professor at Hendrix and he mentioned that this a very nice pick-up for the Music Program.

I like where they fall on the schedule. They will be tough, but playing them early while they are breaking in so many new starters, will be a benefit to us. Problem is, this game could last six hours!
