Soccer Recruits Honored

Saw today in the Dallas Morning News that UNT womens soccer had two recruits named to first team All-Area for HS soccer.

Kelsey Perlman SR forward from Allen HS with 23 goals/15 assists.

Kara Brooks Sr forward from LD Bell HS with 33 goals/14 assists.

Great stuff, especially considering the DMN only selects 12 players total out of the entire DFW metroplex and UNT lands two of them for next fall.

The women's soccer team under Coach Hedlund has been, is and will continue to be a shining star in the UNT athletic department...great recruiting job again this year...this is a team people around the country who follow soccer KNOW about and see as a quality program....CONGRATS to Coach Hedlund, his staff and his team...looking forward to yet another great season...

Now, if we could only reinstate the men's program..............

Any program that is doing well should be saluted...we have precious few of them on a consistent basis.

I wonder if we will ever get another mens team going. I realize that would be after the baseball team, but I sure wouldn't mind having another men's soccer team.
