SBC had 3 drafted. Least of any 1A conference. Is that because there were only 3 draft quality players or because the conference gets no respect??? Can't justify leaving the conference at this point but would have the bags packed if an offer comes.

Lots of quality players were "overlooked" in the draft...but, I have to wonder about the SBC when only three players are drafted...I think if you chweck the free agent signings, you will see that the SBC has done a bit better...but, still....only 3 drafted! hard to believe!

It's because we have fewer NFL-caliber players in our league. Couple that with fewer TV appearances than other conferences and BINGO, fewer players selected in the draft.

It's probably a little bit of both. We don't have as many draft quality kids and if it's close between a big conference player and a Belt player teams look at the quality of competition. The Sunbelt does usually get several undrafted free agents in camps and in a lot of situations thats better than being a 6th or 7th round pick.
