Pacman Finally A Cowboy

Man, pro sports...you just gotta love 'em! If...and it is a HUGH IF...Pacman can stay out of jail and on the field he could be a good pick-up by the Cowboys. JJ is tired of not showing well with the "boys and will do about anything to get more wins...isn't that what pro sports is all about after all? Hey, I am a Cowboys fan here, so let's not go off the deep end...but, it is a shame that a gifted athlete can get away with this stuff and still play in the NFL...or anywhere. Great lesson for the kids...if I am good enough I can get away with anything and still play! CHARACTER simply does not count AT ALL in pro sports these days it seems...not too darn sure about it in HS or college sports these days...and, have you seen some of the parents and coaches at LL baseball, youth soccer, etc., etc. these days???? But, I digress...the T.O. "experiment" seems to be working out with the Cowboys at this point...I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes with the newest solid citizen, Mr. Pacman Jones.... I do wish him and the Cowboys nothing but success....

Um... You do realize that everyone in the NFL attended college and high school, right? And that for every NFL hoodlum, there are more than 10 times as many NCAA criminals?

Bingo... Jerry Jones may not be entirely human, but you can bet your ass his plastic composite face got some kind of word from Goodell that Pac Man would be reinstated assuming Adam walks a straight line from now until then.

After that he just needs to steer clear of "scrip clubs" because Goodell isn't going to put up with anyone "being rebellion".

Most (if not all) of the offending Cowboys you mention committed said offenses after they were brought to the Cowboys. It is difficult to blame an owner or GM when those types of problems arise on a team if there was no indicator that certain players were trouble waiting to happen. But Jerry Jones is walking right into this one eyes wide open. I don't wish any ill on him (or on Pacman), but he really deserves whatever he gets this time.

I don't often disagree with you're (usually spot on) opinions, but do you not think that the fact that Dale brings up his personal vendetta with Jerry every time he discusses the Cowboys completely taints whatever stance he may take? With his line of reasoning he can never lose. If they do well, it obvious that they should have done so. Whenever they come up short, it's because of the same Jerry heavy handiness that got his ass fired. How can he lose with this line of reasoning? As far as Dale is concerned, anyone in the DFW market that disagrees with him has a flawed way of thinking (case in point The Ticket.) When are people going to wake up and realize that the only time of the year that Dale's worth watching is when he rolls out Thank God For Kids?

Excellent post, Tasty. Hansen must always be taken with a grain of salt.

If I were the News Director or Station Manager at WFAA, John McCaa or Gloria Campos (or anyone introducing the segment) would add a line to their toss to Dale that appropriately discloses Dale's time as a color analyst for the Cowboys. Because of the manner in which he has historically handled it, Hansen would not be allowed to disclose his potential bias on his own.

Which he would not tolerate for an instant.
