I had a mean green encounter in the Subway in Malakoff, Texas. I eat there often as I am building a waterfront home development on Cedar Creek Lake.

There was a couple eating in the booth nearby that I overheard talking about their son. They were talking to someone else about how they had high hopes for next season and about their son moving back from the Air Force Academy. Upon further conversation with them they of course were chuck Peterson's parents. They were super nice and very excited about the team under Dodge. It was nice to hear as I was walking out the door his Mom yell "go mean green" across the restaurant.

I had one this past weekend at the Scarborough Festival...

Girl was wearing a BLUE t-shirt with North Texas printed across the front. One of the Festival employees shouts out in his Irish accent, "Mean Green, eh? Then why the blue shirt? Looks like the Mean Turquoise to me. [chuckles]". Meanwhile another feller in the crowd to my right shouts out, "Go Mean Green!" I too echo his sentiments and shout out Mean Green. All the while, this girl is doing her best to explain the shirt and why it's BLUE.
