Walter's Maybe Out At Fau

This is only a little bit more than message board rumor...but it appears FAU head basketball coach Rex Walters maybe off to the Univ. of San Francisco. Walters is a native of San Jose, CA. If this does pan out the Sun Belt would've lost two good young coaches in the matter of a month (Darrin Horn to South Carolina).

FAU has what appears to be the best incoming recruiting class thus far in the conference...wings Freddie Riley and Dago Pena and post Jimmie Sutton are all impact players who may end up elsewhere if this move turns out to be true. I'll try and find some actual confirmation

I think its called a severe lack of fan support coupled with constant butting heads with his players.
