why are there no Men? ;)

Vic Schaefer is believed to be interviewing.........

"Though unconfirmed, a fifth candidate is believed to be Texas A&M associate head coach Vic Schaefer, who left the Women's Final Four in Tampa early to return to College Station on Tuesday. Asked if UNT had contacted him, Schaefer said he had no comment. For 11 seasons, Schaefer has been Gary Blair's top assistant at A&M (2003-present) and Arkansas (1997-2003). An Elite Eight team this season, the Lady Aggies finished 29-8 and are 102-58 the past five seasons."

I will play dumb, but what day can UNT officially offer or announce the new Coach?

Given Capps is interviewing Friday and the spring game is Saturday, I'd say no earlier than Monday on an announcement. Offer could be Friday or Saturday.

I think untbowler is referencing the 30 day wait period.

Job came open on March 11.

Also, I asked the AD about the 30 day waiting period. He told me, in this case...it's only a two week period.

Either way....someone can definitely be hired by now. Hopefully, that someone is Donna Capps.

Odd that the women's period is shorter than the men's...
