This has bothered me for awhile.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Texas_M...%27s_basketball

I only date back to my childhood following NT, and although I know some of the history before that I wouldn't think I could write any sort of comprehensive chronicle of our program. Could any of our older alums(or God forbid the SID) try to flesh that out? I know Buford and ScreamingEagle date back awhile. I mean we were in the Valley in the peak of the league, we had a great run in the late 70's, and we made the Dance in the late 80's and none of it is really on there.

Sorry to vent about this. I mean I know we don't have a storied tradition, but the little that we have should be publicized.

I would have liked for them to mention that we were in the Missouri Valley Conference in the decade of the 60's, which was one of the strongest conferences in America.

It's a wiki - them is us.

Unfortunately, no one can go blaming Vito or the SID because the point is to see the gaps and fill them yourself.

I sort of posted this in hopes that someone who's been around awhile WOULD add to it.

Agreed but a lot of people who were around and have the info needed to update the page may not understand how to change wikipedia. I think we need a committee to write and post the history.

Good idea.

BTW thru a quick internet search and including this years records 982-1147. That's a 46.1 winning percentage.

(Sorry I read the wrong school's records originally)

We might go over 1000 wins all time next year....wonder if we'll commemorate it in some fashion.
