Celtics have been tanking a lot longer than just last year.. they tanked with Peirce. This year they are looking pretty damn good though. As did the Mavs last year. Pace yourself.

Speaking of boisterous Celtic fans. After the Celtics loss, I was down at the Gingerman with some friends. There was a huge pack of Celtic fans trash talking mavs people .. with jabs like, "You are ok with this loss? Of course you are, you are a Mavs fan, used to losing."

When is the last time the Celtics have been anywhere close to being relevant? Seriously. No, really, seriously?

2005-2006: Team gets younger and grows together; Pierce has a banner year

First 40 win season in a DECADE in the lowly east!? Walker being a superstar? oy. Finally a 45 win season!? These are really high points?

The front-running boisterous Boston douche is the newest scorn of sports. They are barely literate and flood message boards and ESPN fan pages with their half-constructed thoughts, remedial grammar skills and racism. They were enabled by a culture of Red Sox empathizers because of what the Yankees did in the late 90s. Bill Simmons played a large role in it too. Regardless of what you think of him, odds are you hung on his early ESPN work and enjoyed - probably because you never imagined he be presiding over a sports douchetopia.

Unfortunately, these Boston empathizers from a few years ago have decided to make themselves part of the "nation" now. Did you notice how new and shiny those Celtics jerseys at the game were? I sure did. I have the Boston roots or whatever and have found myself almost willing to abandon all of it outside of my Dad's past playing ball at BC because this is turning into an unbearable cacophony of Massholes. This people generally have no idea why people don't like them and seem to have forgotten the correlation between regular season and post season success - despite the lessons of the cheatin' Pats.

Well, i can't say anything about those other douche's....but i grew up in New Hampshire...i moved to arkansas when i was 16 but i will always be a die-hard celtics, sox's, pat's, and bruins fan my entire life. thier are alot of bandwagon fans who jump to what ever team is winning ( i have gone to arlingtion to see rangers/soxs last 2 years....i have never seen so many bandwagon sox's fans in my life) or when a team get a new super star or 2 ( garnett and allen jersey sales through the roof). plese dont think all of use fans from boston are cocky massholes, most of the fans that grew up thier and grew up with their family watching these teams are classy, well knowledgable fans, not douches like you encountered....sorry again for those losers making all boston fans seem like major asses....

There are douche fans for every team, sport, city, country etc. Boston is a cool place with cool fans and the sports environment (Bosox) is amazing. The world has become bandwagon. I know so many people that are diehard sports fans but they dont have favorite teams....they just like a lot of players. I always found that odd but I think thats what a lot of sports will come too in one point in time.

Down goes the Mavs to Golden St 104 - 114.

At the moment we have a three way tie for the last two slots Mavs, Golden St, and the Nuggets. They are really working on a long off season. How long has it been since the mavs missed the Playoffs?

99-2000 they were 40-42 and missed the playoffs; Cuban bought the team January that season.
