I have defended Vito quite a bit, as I think he is just doing his job.

But I cannot in good conscience defend him driving a Hyundai Tiburon. Weak.

This story illustrates the mess that is overflow parking for the AC or softball field areas there, basically in a field. There really needs to be more paved parking over there and that two-lane wreck of a road Bonnie Brae needs widened and repaved ASAP. The AC is nice, getting there looks like you're in rural Alabama.

Now that's North Texas Athletes at their best. Great Job Nathan!!!!

Everyone is saying that the AC needs some major repairs to be done quick

Bonnie Brae is awful, needs to be extended to four lanes, because you have a busy subdivision, tennis courts, softball, a huge dorm and the AC.....

Something needs to be done ASAP.

The Tiburons aren't that bad....actually the new ones are pretty nice and pretty speedy.

Hey man what matters is it gets him from point A to B....dont matter if its a Hummer or a Pinto.

I like the story. I appreciate when our football athletes are "All American Good Guys". Nathan's gesture (at least if uncalculated) is proof we have "AAGGs" on the field. Tis merit badge worthy! :D

Yeah, but middle-aged, balding men should realize that their sports-coupe driving days ended when they turned 30 or got married, whichever came first.

What repairs are needed at the AC? I would think they would be the responsibility of the contractor considering the facility hasn't been open that long.

Bonnie Brae is in the same condition and is the same number of lanes as when I was a youngster playing golf at the old NT goat ranch back in Jr. High, and I'm now 42 years old. This work would be the responsibility of the City of Denton, not NT, and you know how fast they get things done when it involves street repairs in Denton!

Besides, that money should go to a new stadium....we need that first.

You're right it is the responsibilty of the City of Denton and it will not be done anytime soon...

I always thought that Denton didn't appreciate UNT being in their background and have always took them for granted... But I do know that UNT is too good for the city of Denton.

And what repairs to the AC were you referring to in your first post?

I don't know of much, if anything, that UNT hasn't gotten from the City of Denton. Denton is aware that the university furnishes a very large amount of their revenue through property taxes and sales taxes paid by faculty and staff. The presence of UNT has helped attract business and industry to Denton.

Now some residents, especially those close to the university, may not appreciate the traffic, noise, lights, etc. invading their once peacheful neighborhood but they'll get over it.
