UNT has first injury of the spring

Junior defensive back Arthur Stubblefield became one of the first UNT players to go down with an injury in spring practice on Saturday when he injured his knee. Stubblefield was on crutches during practice on Monday.

Stubblefield has gone back and forth from playing wide receiver to defensive back throughout his career, but head coach Todd Dodge said before spring workouts began that he will be a defensive back for the remainder of his career. Stubblefield caught one pass last season and appears destined to be a backup for the Mean Green, which loaded up on junior college defensive backs in its last recruiting class.
