Watched The Game On Tv

I watched the WKU vs NT game on TV here in Kentucky and it was frustrating to say the least.

Problems:

•Can't handle press: Bell dribbling into a half court trap 3 times and getting the tech. To his defense, nobody came to help him.

Wooden even had to bring the ball up on 2 occassions. No excuse for NT not handling the press.

• WKU guards the perimeter, so why not take the ball inside?

• Why not take the full 25 minutes to cool off WKU's jets after the power failure?

• WKU got a lot of second and third shots. To NT's defense, WKU camped out in the paint all night and only got called for 3 seconds one time.

• Time outs do not carry over until next season. Jones should use these TOs.

• Head fakes really do work. NT players should try them.

I saw UNT twice this season (both WKU games). The loss at home was likely WKU's best performance of the year, but last night WKU was flat and made a lot of stupid mistakes compared to their normal performance. It was a weird game, because it seemed as though NT should never have been in this game even though we came to within 1 point early in the 2nd.

Doesn't matter, South Alabama will win the Sunbelt Tourny with the big home crowd Tuesday night.

We won 20 games because we're a much better home than road team. Really only WKU truly whipped us at home this year(UNO is a bit of an asterick with the squad decimated by the flu). I mean we beat USA at the SuperPit this year.

Really, if there's one thing you can say about JJ, is he knows how to win at home. The last 3 or so years w have a sparkling record at the SuperPit.

I'd recommend some icy hot and an ace bandage for that knee.
