Pretty sad. Hawaii could get away with that only because it's biggest selling point is "Hawaii, the paradise", not Hawaii the athletic program. What high school recruit wouldn't want to brag to peers he's going to Hawaii? Boise on the other hand has to lure recruits with facilities and equipment, otherwise all that left is Idaho, not that it is a bad thing, just not as glamorous. I'm surprised the local media just now seems to be looking into UH's facilities after years of complaints by June Jones.

Interesting. It's noted in this piece, that of the $17 million that Hawaii received from the BCS Bowl...they get to keep around $4-4.5 million.

This is from the DMNews blog:

And how many years of New Orleans Bowl games would it take to add up to $4.5 million? :(

Sounds to me, SUMG that those kind of bowl revenue numbers just seems like a book-keeper's nightmare the likes of which we may not want to have in Denton? Keep it S S & S B............. that is........small, simple and Sun Belt is my recommendation to prevent such future accounting nightmares with such revenues that Boise and Hawaii have had to contend with the last 2 years.
