Did Coach Dodge offer a scholarship to Chris Brainard (5.10 1/2, 162pds, WR) from Southlake? Why isn't it listed? Did he offer a scholarship so Riley could have a roomate?

His rivals page show he's still available. Don't know if he is big enough to play WR at the D1 level. I think Chris a is a wonderful player and I would love for him to walk on and prove all of us doubting Thomas' wrong. Id like to see him become the next Casey Fitzgerald.

My only memory of him was him dropping a go-ahead touchdown pass in the end zone against Miami Northwestern. He got clocked by a defender as he was catching it, but D1 will be full of that.

I'm not sure if he's a scholly level player. I would have thought he'd be more of a walk-on guy. But Dodge obviously knows better than I do, having coached the him before.

Yep if Dodge wanted him he could have had him. If he wants to show up in the fall and give it a shot I wish him the best of luck but when no one offers a ship including his former high school coach walking on or playing at a lower level may be his only hope.
