Under Armour Contract

True that this does not say that we are "sponsored" by UA. It also only mentions 2007.

Our record has nothing to do with it. I'm sure it is either 1) They are still working on a line of clothing or, B ) They did a cost-benefit analysis and determined there isn't enough of a demand to produce a line.

They told me until UA sponsors UNT, there will be NO line of clothing for the Eagles.

If that's true then who's making these?

Well, great question - but I am just repeating back to what they told me on the phone. I suppose Mean Green Sports could have bought them from UA and now be selling them just as we buy our athletic gear.

Nice color green....just the wrong color!

Anyone can buy UA and put NT logos on it as long as it is licensed by NT through CLC. I found the Kelly green version of their "not cotton" T-shirt at Academy. The T-shirt with no logo on it was $20. Their prices are usually very reasonable. FWIW Academy had TX Tech UA jerseys at $59. they also had Nike UT jerseys...both were very similar in quality and both screen printed. The UT jersey was $29. I think we are all frustrated that more NT stuff is not on the market and I am somewhat disapointed in the speed I have been able to get it done. I can get UA gear and put NT branding on it but I am more interested in getting quality gear out there that costs less. If someone wants to spend $60 on a polo go ahead, I have no intrest in competing in that market. Maybe after I get a good basic selection out there I will be able to offer a more expensive line like Nike, Tommy, UA etc. I am not the least bit disapointed that UA isn't making NT gear because I can afford it but still won't pay $60 for a polo. I would like to see a good jersey however. UA should offer that.

I really don't care if we are sponsored or not. All I want is someone to get us some authentic jerseys.

Same here. The Athletic Department gets one time to order jerseys. I'd like for us to be able to get in on that order.

Yup. Don't want to see the "replica" stuff like last year. I don't even want real replica (that matches the look of the real uni). I want an authentic.

Hell..let them charge us extra and let the department make a little extra money. Untapped fundraising resource...

I dont understand why an inquiring mind didnt just email RV to begin with, instead of going through UA. Surely he would have known the terms of the non-contract.

Without a sponsorship, does this mean we are paying for our unis? Did we have to do this when we wore New Balance stuff? And, does this mean another uniform change is imminent?
