ESPN has us listed at the top of the West in this three way tie, but I don't think that is right. We have the tiebreaker against the LaLa's but not Little Rock College.

Exactly. ESPN just lists it by best overall record in case of a tie.

Tournament seedings if ended today(I think).

1. USA

2. UALR

3. WKU

4. MTSU

5. NT

6. ULL

7. UNO

8. Denver

9. FAU

10. FIU

11. Troy

12. ULM

13. ASU

So I guess, if all remains the same, that we would host Monroe at home if Little Rock doesn't give us a break and lose a game. Not a bad tuneup based on our last meeting. Since the NIT is clearly out of the question after our conference record collapse (sorry), I guess hosting the first round would be our last chance to see the Mean Green outside of Mobile. Not all bad I guess. I just hope that we can avoid playing BOTH WKU AND South Bama in the tourney. If things work out correctly, I'm hoping to make Bama for the semis.

Tie-Breaking Formula. The Sun Belt Conference tie-breaking formula is as follows: (a) if one team has defeated the other team twice, that team shall be awarded the higher-seeded position; however, ( b ) if each team has won only one game against the other, the higher position will be awarded to the team that has the best won-loss percentage against the highest-seeded team in the conference; ( c ) if each team has the same record against the highest-seeded team in the division, then won-loss records against the next highest-seeded team in the conference would be considered and so on down the line until the tie is broken; (d) if the records of the two teams are the same against all teams in the conference, then the seeded position would be determined by a toss of the coin by the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner; (e) in the event of a three-way tie, the won-loss percentage of the tied teams against each other is first considered; (f) If the teams are still tied, records against the next highest seeded team in the conference are considered and so forth until the tie is broken; once the three-way tie is broken, then the two-way tie is broken in the normal two-tie fashion;(g) if there is still a tie, the seeded position of the teams will be determined by a random draw conducted by the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner; (h) for multiple ties larger than a three-way tie, the same procedure will be applied as used to break a three-way tie; (i) for all multiple ties, the tie is broken by first deciding the highest seeded team involved in the tie before deciding other seeded positions. Basically.

But you know...at this point I have to ignore UALR. We've had a tough time on the road and we have a roadie in a house that with the exception of last year, we've had crappy luck with. Just focus on beating the Cajuns right now...and 20 wins. We've had all of four 20 win seasons in our history and we're close to a 5th. That's a hell of an accomplishment.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm pretty sure we averaged over 3K this year which is good for us. Now I know there were about 2-3 games where our reported attendance was way higher than that which people who were at the SuperPit saw - but still. It is obvious we are improving in our support of the squad. The students have bought in and maybe more of the city of Denton and alumni are as well. Perhaps we can pump that to a 4K average next year.

BTW our RPI is 142 which isn't that great. But we are 3-2 against schools in the top 100 which is good should we win the tournament. It could get us a slightly higher seed than the 15 or 16 our RPI would seem to dictate.

Just a little FYI. Obviously a long way to go before we even worry about that crap.

Our defense made key stops midway through the second half when we needed them (when they got within 1). Our defense has really gotten to be pretty promising. Our ball handling, and inbounding, however, towards the end of the game coupled with a few botched free throws made things a lot closer than they needed to be.

Where was Adam McCoy this game? I love watching this guy play, he always seems to bring a good bit of energy off the bench. His play-style kinda reminds me of Sturns..which I guess is good and bad.

We can play what ifs all day...its those 13 kids in green who need to focus in on the Cajuns. I think/hope ULL's youth is catching up to them...a more experienced team protects their home court better when they know a title is on the line. ULL's loss now means that we have to become big time Denver and ULM fans...losing streaks eventually have to end and UD and UALR both like to slow it down which should keep things close...and ULM played WKU pretty well last night. I'd say become Troy fans just in case, but I really think that MTSU's loss was a bit of a fluke...65 free throws shot, MTSU gets 22 and FAU gets 43? FAU hit 36, 14 more than MTSU attempted. SBC refs are the absolute worst, save Stevie Wilmer.

I'm hoping that if we do win the tourney that our conference getting a second bid (or atleast should) would kick us up to a 13 or 14...and also depending on who we play (USA and WKU) I imagine our RPI should jump considerably if we win out.

I thought the same thing as the players went by slapping hands. Adam walked by in his shooting shirt, and the I realized I hadn't made a 'Real McCoy' or 'Andre 3000' reference.
