I haven't checked recently, but at one time McNeese had the highest per game attendance of all IAA football.

Academy is one of the complicated stores to get in to, along with Sports Authority, Dick's etc. I have spoken with managers in the stores and they are interested in NT Apparel but the buyers can't find it. I went to the Collegiate Market at Dallas Market Center a couple weeks ago and found very little North Texas Merchandise. The stuff I found I had to ask for. It is very time consuming to put a line together and winter is difficult for me. I am trying to hire a couple of employees but have had a hard to time finding people with some initiative. My goal was Jan 1, 08, now I am shooting for July 1, 08. I have done the CLC part now I just have to get the stuff out there. Things I don't produce are difficult to get because of the cost, minimums, set ups, licensing etc. I will take more time but it will happen.

I remember being in one local store this fall/winter (Kohls perhaps?) and seeing a large section of college apparel. I went over, checked out the merchandise…Not ONE North Texas item! They had all manner of USC, Georgia, UT, A&M, Ohio St, and even some lesser schools in their store, but not a single UNT t-shirt or cap. Ridiculous.

:surrender:

Is all this just another part of our 100+ year plan for athletic, uh.............(what's that word, again--you fill in the blank)? :)

If I make it to age 100 and I come back to visit this board (assuming I can remember what it's called--in fact, assuming I can remember anything).....

.........I do hope all you present day Young Gun Alums are still not talking about much of the same things many of us have been talking up the last 25 plus years (of which "sadly" there has not been the kind of marked change that would have allowed us to move up like some of our old friends did (and some of them even our former conference-mates).

Old friends? How about Memphis, Louisville, Southern Miss, Florida State, Houston, Boise State, etc, etc, etc,

Strong leadership with 50+ year methodical development of our rich, famous and more successful could have prevented much of what we have to endure at North Texas today.

Which present UNT leader(s) will take the bull by the horns with all this and not allow wild horses to stop them in doing what they and the entire UNT constituency all know what needs, ie, what must be done at the University of North Texas with a future new stadium which will merely keep us competitive with the other upper echelon Texas system universities?
