excerpt from BGDN:

...Two Western Kentucky football players were arrested early Sunday morning for their alleged involvement in an altercation at a concert at the Garrett Conference Center on the WKU campus.

Tim Nelson, a redshirt freshman linebacker from Wrens, Ga., and Derrius Brooks, a redshirt freshman wide receiver from Forston, Ga., were both arrested at 12:31 a.m. Sunday, according to a WKU police report.

According to the report, Brooks was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, while Nelson was charged with disorderly conduct.

The report claimed that Brooks was “involved in a fight” and “caused a large disturbance,” which resulted in the concert being called off.

The report claimed Nelson approached WKU police officers while they were making an arrest and was “demanding to know why they were arresting his friend.”

Nelson was ordered to back away, which he allegedly failed to do. The report also said Nelson “commenced cursing the officers and yelling at them.

Again he was ordered to back away and he continued his disorderly conduct. Nelson was finally arrested for disorderly conduct.”.....
