Tennis Team Dominates Ualr; Wins 5-0

nice dominating win for the ladies after losing 3-straight matches to ranked opponents. Good luck to them next weekend out in El Paso as they play very good NMSU and UTEP teams.

The team has 5 remaining Conference Matches for the season. I think realistically they will go 3-2 with the losses to FIU and Denver who are bith ranked Top 50. The team has already played 3 nationally ranked teams in TCU #32 (loss 6-1, with several spilt sets), Tx Tech #68 (bad 6-1 loss), and Nevada #68 (loss 4-3). Also Tulsa is ranked #42 right now. Would like to see team go out 8-4 or 9-3 and grab the #4-5 seed at the Belt tournament. #1-3 should be FIU, Denver, USA, then could be Troy or NT followed by MTSU, UALR, FAU, ASU, ULM all tightly packed in.

Sat, Feb 23 New Mexico State - at Las Cruces, N.M. 12 p.m. Hard team to match-up, although they have nothing impressive in wins. They did beat CSU 4-3 on Saturday but got blasted by their 2 ranked opponents. UNT won 4-3, with a 3-set win at Line #6

Sun, Feb 24 UT-El Paso - at El Paso, TX 11 a.m. Hard team to figure out as they are 5-1 but no real good teams played. Believe will be a win but will be tight. They did beat ASU 5-2 UNT lost 4-3 again coming down to Line #6, but lost in 3rd set.

Fri, Mar 07 Air Force - at Denver, CO 5 p.m. They have not won a match yet with losses to UTPA and Texas State, as well as to TX Tech 6-1 and Denver 6-1, they play ASU today.

#41 Sat, Mar 08 Denver - at Denver, CO 1:30 p.m. Will be a tough match but should be competitive maybe a 5-2, not quite with the yet.

Fri, Mar 14 Southern Illinois - Denton, TX 3 p.m. should be a victory, they play ASU and UTA prior to the ladies

Tue, Mar 18 Florida Atlantic - at Boca Raton, FL 3 p.m. This should be a win as they have not won a match yet but every team has been ranked including a Top 5 D2 school. Will be curious to see the TN Tech on the 3/7 as I have seen TN Tech play in person.

#33 Thu, Mar 20 Florida International - at Miami, FL 3 p.m. Will be a major test and show the vast difference between #1 in the Belt and NT right now, expect a 6-1 FIU victory but hope to be wrong.

Sun, Mar 23 Marquette - Denton, TX 2 p.m. Another tricky team 1-6 on season but all 6 losses were to ranked opponents, but think it will be a win.

Fri, Mar 28 Louisiana-Monroe - Denton, TX 3 p.m. Should not be a tough match as they are on par with UALR, nobody dangerous on their team.

Sat, Apr 05 Houston - at Tulsa, OK 11 a.m. This needs to be a win for confidence prior to Tulsa match. Note a former NT player is on this team.

Sun, Apr 06 #42 Tulsa - at Tulsa, OK 11 a.m. Will be a tough match but not unwinnable if the ladies are healthy. tulsa has put a beating on common opponents of UTA (5-2), UALR and SFA (6-0). Tulsa does also play ULL, MTSU, USA and FIU in the futre prior to match with UNT.

Sat, Apr 12 Arkansas State - Denton, TX 12 p.m. not to worried again as they are similar to MTSU and UALR which the team dominated, lost to NW State and UTEP
