When did ealey and Roman leave? I never heard anything about that, did I miss something? I do not care so much about Roman but I wish we could have kept Ealey...

Kevin Ealey is not even on last years roster anymore. Roman is still on last years roster though.

I don't know if it is that TD does not want him, I think it is more he did not want UNT. He said he was granted a release meaning he asked to leave. I only remember him playing a little in the beginning of the season but I think I remember thinking he looked halfway decent in comparison to the rest of the DB.......but then again that is not saying much.

Troy Phillips left out Antoine Bush....as another returnee who saw playing time last year.

Kevin was thrown to the wolves like several other true freshman. Mosely, Kevin, Dibrell, Vizza, DeSoto, Penson, and Breece could have benefitted from being red shirted.

You can see why Dodge used up some of the freshman but not sure why he waisted some others.

First of all, I don't think Desoto played. Secondly, you say that you see why he used some freshmen, but not sure why he "waisted" others. He did just that; he played 6-7 (as I recall) , and redshirted 10.

DeSoto played my friend and so did Breece. Breece played less than ten freakin snaps. That makes no sense.

Lazer is right about his wanting to leave UNT. I asked about him but I didn't ask about Roman and didn't realize that he had left, also.

However, there is one BIG mistake in that article. The Defensive Back of the Year, Antoine Bush, returns and he will only be a junior. There are three other defensive backs returning: Neal, Gordon, and Dawson but I believe that all of their game time was on special teams. I don't see it any better for them this season. Neal may turn out to be the only one even fast enough for special teams and that's not a lock since we have so many fast freshmen. I hope that Dawson is moved back to linebacker where he had a pretty good year in 2006 (in the top 5 in tackles.

Hagar is not a DB. He does not have the foot speed. He is being bulked up to give some depth at LB.

He's listed as a DB per the '07 roster. At 6'1, 210lbs that's a lot of bulking up for LB?

Have you seen Bron practice at DB? Look at what Dodge recruited and you tell me if Bron is going to play DB. Hagar is a good athlete just a tweener. No way he gets on the field in the secondary.

If Roman hadn't played against OU, no one would have nailed him to the cross. Roman was a nickel back at best. No kid should have to endear what he took. Dodge and Mendoza have to take the blame on that, they should have never had him in one on one coverage.

Dawson's an LB. Nelson, Neal and Gordon were mainly special teamers, played very little in secondary. Guess he forgot Bush.

This board is high on everyone until they play a down or two and then they will nail you to the wall like Roman. This same board will forget that mendoza's defense stopped the offense in last year's spring game but will give Deloach major kudos foe doing it this year.

Every time I try to go beat up Coach Leftwich, 5 really big guys get between us and try to knock me down. It's tougher to get to him than you might think.

I'd ask some friends to help me try to pursue him so that at least one of us could beat him up, but I don't want to hear the fight song played.
