Additional Tidbits On Recruiting

After taking my computer to be debuged I send this post from the Mansfield public library...

1. Star Telegram gave 1/2 full page to NT and the same to TCU....great article

2. The one who got away...DT Tim McGee JC from Scooba Miss..Eastern Miss who signed with Minnasota (sp?)

6-4, 295...we were in on him up to signing day

3. We got height in DB and WR...good for end zone jump ball passes

WR Forrest Rucker 6-5, Kenny Barrett 6-4

S Jeremy Phillips 6-3, DB DeWaylon Cook 6-2

4. Notice Nick Leppo's weight shown as up to 285

5. Aledo DT Ethan McMidin (sp?) from local HS 6-4, 295 was invited to walk on at NT after UH rescended his offer. sorry I can't read my writing

6. I believe we have one ship left....the 25 plus 2 JC that enrolled at mid term..equal 27...we signed 26..so still another possibility.

7. Everyone was questioning the Euless Trinity Trojans linemen

Robert Griffin 6-7, 360 signed with Navarro and Mao Leuta signed with Kilgore JC 6-1, 280...indication of grade problems.

Keep in mind Dodge said 19 of our recruits made their school Honor roll...I would presume he was talking about HS.

I might not be able to get back to the library to post before Monday will try.

I remember Tim McGee. Monster DT! Heavily recruited by

many schools, Big 12, SEC, and others.

I did not know that NT was close to landing this guy!

Man, McGee would have been the # 1 recruit!

I thought he signed with K-State?

We had 3 JUCOs sign mid-term, not two. Jeremy Knott is also enrolled and should count against last year's total. That would give us 2 scholarships still available.

Didn't the Phillips kid enroll early or not? His brother is a stud at TCU. This kid will end up at LB.

He did not enroll early, he will be here in the fall.
