A lot to like there, but this stood out to me also.

. Five offensive linemen were signed and a sixth, Aledo's Ethan McMillan (6-foot-4, 295 pounds), has been invited to walk on after Houston rescinded an offer.

This is my favorite line....

"In the Sun Belt Conference, North Texas is the new Texas in recruiting.

While many SBC coaches have bristled at early recruiting against the big boys, UNT's Todd Dodge was a trendsetter. Dodge rejected the notion of small programs waiting their turn in the recruiting process."

Forrest Rucker of Hearne and Kenny Barrett of Mart, are athletic big men at 6-5 and 6-4

This is another item that stuck out to me. If you add that to redshirt Frosh, Sam Roberson 6-4, we've got some serious size at WR.

Well, considering what sort of size our WR's have historically been, this is amazing.

Besides Kenny Barnett (6'4") and Forrest Rucker (6'5"), we have (as you've already pointed out) Sam Roberson (6'4") as well as Brock Stickler (6'3") and Sam Dibrell (6'2").

Before this group of receivers, the tallest receiver that I could remember at North Texas was Brodrick McGrew, who was about 6'3" or 6'4". Before that, our receivers averaged somewhere between 5'8" and 5'11".

Excuse my ignorance of NCAA scholarship rules, but if we sign juco players are we essentially giving these guys half a scholarship, and if so does this allows us to offer more scholarships? I guess what I am asking is, do scholarships add up to a total dollar amount, like a cap, or are they a certain Number of ships allowed to give no matter the dollar amount?

Scholarships are renewable each year, so a JUCO signee and a HS signee receive the same grant in aid.
