If the Mean Green Nation doesn't have enough to feel good about right now, here's a little something that might warm your heart. One of my coworkers has a son (hs junior) who is a teammate of one the area recruits UNT signed today. The coworker informed me not long ago that his wife is a friend of the recruit's mother. She is a single mother who works three jobs to support her family, and had been worried because her son had only been offered scholarships to schools which were so far away that she would probably never be able to go to a game and see him play. Of course the important thing is that the young man has signed up for an expenses paid college education when his family would have been hard pressed to send him to college, but the opportunity to play close to home is something special, not to mention that I (and many others) think this recruit has everything it takes to become an excellent student athlete for UNT.

Oh, and Gil Lebreton's suggested approach to being recruited (I don't follow Lebreton, but thought this was a useful perspective).

Signing Day=Unparalleled Opportunity
